Neurofeedback for trauma, anxiety and burn-out
in Jersey City
Harness your brain’s natural ability to regulate your mind and your nervous system.
Your brain doesn’t want to work against you… it just needs help getting back on the right path.
No matter how many times you’ve talked it out in therapy, taken deep breaths and attempted to meditate, the hyper vigilance, overthinking, overwhelm and sleep challenges keep interrupting your daily life.
Maybe you’re feeling…
Constantly on edge or tense, like your mind and body can’t relax
Exhausted everyday because falling asleep or staying asleep is out of reach, no matter how tired you are
Disconnected from yourself or your surroundings, and unable to be in the present moment
Easily distracted and forgetful, making staying organized and completing tasks feel impossible
Caught in cycles of worry, overthinking and overwhelm
You don’t have to live in survival mode anymore!
Neurofeedback is a gentle, non-invasive, and non-medication treatment that helps re-train your brain to better regulate itself.
Neurofeedback is an evidence-based and FDA-approved therapy that harnesses neuroplasticity, which is the brain’s natural ability to heal and adapt through new experiences.

Our brains are constantly producing electrical activity (called brainwaves), and sometimes, especially after trauma, chronic stress, anxiety, or other mental health conditions, those patterns can get stuck in high-alert or shut-down modes. Neurofeedback gently trains the brainwaves to come back to a state of calm, focus, and balance more easily.
-
In a neurofeedback session, sensors are placed on your scalp to read your brainwaves (no electrical pulses or signals are sent into your body). While you relax and notice the computer game on the screen in front of you, the neurofeedback system gives real-time feedback to your brain, letting it know when it's operating in a more calm and regulated state. Over time, this feedback helps your brain shift out of survival mode and into a more steady, resilient rhythm.

If you’ve ever felt stuck in anxiety, chronic stress, brain fog, or emotional overwhelm, especially after trauma, neurofeedback can support your healing in a deeper way than talk therapy alone. It works with your nervous system to gently support change at the root… your brain.
At the end of the day, I want you to know:
You’re not broken. Your brain and body are responding to what they’ve been through, and they can learn a new way.

Just as everyone’s body is different, everyone’s brain is different. Some people will notice changes in as little as 1-3 sessions, and some people may notice changes after 5 or more sessions.
Just as with any type of training, consistency is most important to help the changes last. Neurofeedback training is considered more effective when an individual is training 1-2 times per week. To reinforce long-lasting benefits, 30-40 sessions are typically recommended, but may vary depending on the individual needs.

Since neurofeedback trains your brain to work more efficiently through neuroplasticity, there is potential to see long-lasting changes in mood, sleep, motivation, and overall brain organization.

Prior to your first neurofeedback session, I’ll ask you to complete an intake and assessment to determine the best protocol to achieve your goals.
In our initial session, we’ll meet for 90 minutes where we’ll review your intake and assessment, record a “mini-map” that will serve as a baseline measurement we’ll utilize to see your progress, and then we’ll do your first training session.
